Seeds provides expert support throughout BREF processes, assisting stakeholders with drafting and reviewing BREF documents, evaluating the impacts of Best Available Techniques (BAT), engaging with EU-BRITE and the Technical Working Group, and conducting data collections to ensure regulatory compliance.
- Technical support for BREF processes: Assisting stakeholders in the review and drawing up of BREF documents, ensuring that BAT are feasible and well reflect the state of the art of the industrial sector.
- Stakeholder engagement: Supporting stakeholders in interactions with the EU-BRITE and Technical Working Group members, ensuring their perspectives are considered in the BREF process.
- Workshops and strategy development: Organising technical workshops, expert consultations, and strategy sessions to align stakeholders on BREF-related priorities and responses.
- Impact assessment of BAT and associated performance and emission levels: Analysing the economic, technical, and environmental impacts of proposed BATs and associated performance and emission levels, including cost assessments, feasibility studies, and compliance strategies.
- Data collection and benchmarking: Conducting sector-wide data analysis to evaluate industrial emissions, energy efficiency, consumption of water and raw material to ensuring an evidence-based approach to regulatory compliance.
